The Radel Project

This client had a backyard space that wasn't being used to it's full potential. Although the direction was unclear at first, we all agreed that keeping the basic elements that already existed in the space while enhancing their functionality was key for this project. Using sustainable materials and Native-ish plants, we managed to transform the space into a little oasis.  The client really wanted to do something sustainable with her space. We put a lot of effort into picking the right plants and materials for her yard. She wanted a space where family and friends could relax and enjoy their time together - a space that felt like a mini vacation. We redid the patio and the walls, and stained the fencing which made the yard feel a lot bigger. We installed a lot of drainage to remove wetness and improve functionality of yard as well. All plants that were chosen for this project were Native-ish.

Customer Review

"We went into the project feeling pretty unclear about what we wanted. We just knew we weren't using our backyard in its current state and that we wanted more privacy. We had a patio, but it was kind of a mess, and we had a retaining wall, but it didn't make great use of the space. We ended up keeping those same basic elements but somehow the space is totally transformed and feels so much bigger. And while the plants are still emerging, our little oasis is in the works!"
